Earll Erving is a dedicated and innovative educator with over 20 years of extensive experience developing English language programs and international curricula, particularly within the International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE Cambridge frameworks. Hailing from the Philippines, Earll's passion for education has taken him on a remarkable journey across several countries, including Uzbekistan, Indonesia, and Kazakhstan, where he has devoted his career to nurturing his students' academic and life skills.
Earll holds the position of visiting lecturer at Southern City Colleges, where he teaches English and Literature courses.
Earll held the MYP Language Acquisition teacher position at Invento The Uzbek International School in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (2021-2023). In this role, he taught English Language Acquisition to Grades 6-10 students, ensuring that each lesson was thoughtfully designed with clear objectives. His teaching philosophy prioritized student engagement and ongoing progress assessment, fostering a genuine love for learning within his diverse classrooms.
Before his time at Invento, Earll taught English Language at the Singapore National Academy in Indonesia. There, he implemented student-centered teaching strategies and facilitated reading and writing workshops. As a World Scholars Cup Team Trainer, he prepared students for academic competitions, focusing on critical thinking, research skills, and collaborative learning.
Earll has held notable positions in various educational institutions throughout his career, including serving as the Language Coordinator and Head of the English Department at Miras International School in Kazakhstan. His impactful contributions involved developing and implementing a comprehensive English program that emphasized inquiry-based learning while catering to the needs of English language learners, students with special educational needs, and non-native speakers.
Earll's academic credentials are impressive. He has a Master of Arts in Education and Innovation from Webster University and a TESOL Certificate from Arizona State University. These qualifications have equipped him with the skills to address diverse learning styles and foster an inclusive classroom environment.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Earll is currently writing a book about his insights and experiences in English language education, particularly English as an Additional Language (EAL).
