This workshop is for teachers working with EAL students who have different language levels. It will present practical strategies to adapt lessons and use teamwork to support learning. Teachers will try hands-on activities, like creating group tasks and lesson plans, to help students of all levels feel included and improve their skills. This session is for teachers who want to learn and share techniques with the presenter and fellow teachers.

I hope that this workshop will foster a sense of excitement and curiosity among teachers. The activities will help them develop the skills to guide their students in becoming skilled textual detectives. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, such as text annotation and question generation, and explore some close reading techniques.

The workshop will be interactive and collaborative, with a focus on practical application. Participants will engage in small-group discussions, whole-group sharing, and individual reflection.

We will explore innovative ways that educators can use AI to enhance language teaching and collaboration in the classroom. Participants will learn how AI tools like language learning apps, chatbots, and adaptive learning platforms can provide personalized learning experiences for students. There will be an interactive or hands-on approach either by pairs or in groups in using some of these AI tools.    

Key takeaways will include understanding how to leverage AI for differentiated instruction, utilizing AI for formative assessments, and use AI for collaboration in the classroom.
