This workshop will explore practical strategies for empowering English Language Learners (EAL) to take ownership of their learning and develop a strong sense of agency. Participants will delve into the importance of fostering autonomy, critical thinking, and self-directed learning in EAL classrooms. The workshop will provide hands-on activities, real-world examples, and opportunities for collaborative discussion.    

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

1. Define student agency and its importance for EAL learners.
2. Identify strategies to foster student autonomy and self-directed learning.
3. Develop effective classroom practices to empower EAL learners.
4. Create opportunities for EAL learners to take ownership of their learning.
