This session offers insight into the importance of teacher leadership in schools, how to foster it, what hinders it, and the ways it benefits the culture of your school. Participants will have the opportunity to explore research-based information and interact with each other during this session. Optional extensions related to teacher leadership standards and the creation of a teacher leadership vision will be offered. This session is intended for senior and middle leaders, teachers who engage in a range of formal and informal leadership within their schools, or those who wish to cultivate a culture of teacher leadership!    

You will learn:
-how teacher leadership has changed, how it's currently defined, and dispositions of teacher leaders
-what factors foster or hinder a climate of teacher leadership in schools
-benefits of teacher leadership in your school culture
-principles of andragogy & meeting the needs of adult learners"
